IN COREY'S OWN WORDS ABOUT BEING #1 rated Children's Songwriter and more!

"I have lot's of mommy friends because the songs are written with the intention of making thier lives better, easier...and to help their children grow up happier, more peaceful and well-adjusted mentally, emotionally and Spiritually. I often ask parents "What would you most want your child to hear in a song? So that you wouldn't have to get upset, and that you could in theory, put on a CD and have the issue resolved!" I believe the cumulative effect of hearing these songs can resolve issues before they even occur in a growing mind! Buy and enjoy these Insect Rock CD Volumes. I am certain your children will be even better for having heard these messages presented with so much happiness, love, wisdom and fun! THE INSECTS ROCK! Thank YOU for being alive! I am humbled and grateful to serve in this way. It's an unexpected privilege and joy contributing to the happiness and well-being of so many kids and families. Put me on Oprah for an hour and the world will never be the same. Blessings!" Corey Leland

Love This CD! EMERGENCY ROOM NURSE Christiann and a patient that came to the emergency room named Dylan!

I work as a nurse in an ER. One evening a 3 year-old boy, Dylan, came in requiring sutures to 3 fingers. It is no easy task keeping a child calm and distracted for a 45-minute procedure. I happened to have my copy of Insects Rock in my car (I sometimes listen on my way to work- very cheerful music). The CD played while we sutured little Dylan's fingers- and it worked wonderfully! He loved the songs and we talked about the different songs while the doctor put in his stitches. Dylan loved the CD so much I gave him my copy to take home. He was so excited about the CD, I think he forgot about the injury altogether!

"Inspirational and high spirited songs with valuable lessons!" Another review about Corey Leland Insects Rock on a recent family ski trip: We listened to The Insects Rock Vol. 1 during the long car trip to the mountains. My six year old daughter wouldn't stop asking asking to hear "Why Would I Want to Wear Diapers" over and over again, but my nine year old son was really inspired by "You're Gonna Do Great Things" in a special way. One day on the mountain, he became frightened by a steep section of the ski run. Somehow, he found the courage to ski it...beautifully. At the bottom of the hill, I asked him how he overcame his fear, and he replied, "I just kept singing 'You're Gonna Do Great Things' over and over, and I did it!" He was so proud of himself, and I am so grateful to Corey Leland for inspiring my children with such positive life messages. I highly recommend all 3 volumes of The Insects Rock! They really do rock!

If the Monkees, the Beatles and the Partridge Family had collaborated on a rock album for kids, you'd have a gem just like "The Insects Rock" with 12 tracks packed with sweet, poppy, jangly hooks and fun topics to keep kids singing along and learning! Corey Leland has filled a real need in the world of kid's music that parents will deeply appreciate. Not only are these quality songs from start to finish but with the universally appealing retro style, adults- especially those parents who distinctly recall the hits of the 60s and 70s- can enjoy and relate as well. It's a win-win situation and it's bound to become a top seller.

"Childrens Educational Rock-Just what the market is looking for these days: Clint McBay Director of A&R at TAXI (The Worlds Leading Independent music label) Outstanding Writing in this fresh, visual, action-oriented, motivational lyric. I like how it addresses kids' lifestyles (watching tv). It's such an important subject, too, with childhood obesity on the rise, and sedentary lifestyles some kids have with too much tv and too much sitting at the computer. I enjoyed listening to this cool, fun, kids tune. (Everyday I excercise) The song is beautifully written and marketable in todays childrens' market. Overall rating 10=best...Lyric 10 Music 9 Marketability 9... Catchy hook and the entire lyric supports this theme...Fun, vibrant rock melody that makes you want to get up and dance!

About CD Baby

Who/What are we?

CD Baby is a little online record store that sells CDs by independent musicians.

[In•de•pen•dent: (adj.) Not having sold one's life, career, and creative works over to a corporation.]

We're just a few people (details here) in a cool Portland, Oregon CD warehouse that looks like a playground. We listen to every CD we sell before we sell it, so we can help you find other albums you'll like.

We only sell CDs that come directly from the musicians. No distributors. Musicians send us CDs. We warehouse them, sell them to you, and pay the musicians directly.

Cool thing: In a regular record deal or distribution deal, musicians only make $1-$2 per CD, if they ever get paid by their label. When selling through CD Baby, musicians make $6-$12 per CD, and get paid weekly.

In business, and thriving, since March 1998. We're the largest seller of independent CDs on the web.

History:

I was just selling my own CD in 1997, making my living by touring and doing sessions, and asked some fellow musicians if they'd like me to sell their CD, too. It was supposed to be a hobby. (Making music was my real career!)

For the first year, CD Baby was just me. I'd put the day's orders in my backpack and ride my bike down to the post office..

But then friends told friends, and now my little hobby has sold over $25 MILLION in independent CDs to people around the world.

Current Numbers:

140,153 artists sell their CD at CD Baby.

2,481,428 CDs sold online to customers.

$29,791,241.40 paid to artists.

CD Baby Privacy Policy

We NEVER give or sell your personal info to any other company - EVER! (No not even your email address!)

Only the musician whose CD you buy will know who you are.

If you don't even want the musician to know about you, just say so at the bottom of your order form.

Your credit card info is never stored, and never seen by anyone. We don't store it in your permanent customer info. The card number is erased immediately after the sale, for extra protection. There is nothing of yours here to steal.

Yes this means you'll have to type your card number again when you return, but we hope you appreciate the extra safety and privacy it gives you.

I really love these songs!!!!!! Reviewer: CindyEvery parent needs to get this CD! ALL Early Childhood Teachers should have this CD in their classrooms!! As a teacher myself I can not wait to play these songs for my students! All my students love The Insects Rock 1 and 2!!!! I can't stop listening to them myself!! I LOVE THE HAPPY, WONDERFUL AND EDUCATIONAL MESSAGES!!!! Get these CD's for your children!!!!

Great music, Great message!!Reviewer: Jaryn and Jensen... I love the way Corey Leland has incorporated important lessons for children that aren't "preachy"- they are truly just fun!! One of my favorite lines from the whole CD has to be "It's not so much what seems to happen, But how you're gonna choose to view" - the whole idea of making up your mind to be happy- so many people could be happier and healthier if they would just heed this advice (me included!!). This CD has so many positive messages- the importance of exercise, being yourself, eating vegetables, and most importantly the message of love. I highly recommend this CD!

He keeps getting better and better! Christi... I love this CD- Every song is great. I can't pick just one favorite track-it would be like picking just one favorite Beatles song- there are so, so many good ones! Volumes 1 and 2 are wonderful and definitely worth a listen. But I feel Volume 3 is the best one yet!
